Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using Helpzen ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These terms apply to all users, including free, trial, and paid accounts.

2. Description of service

Helpzen is an AI-powered customer support platform that allows businesses to manage customer conversations, automate replies with AI, track support tickets, and build a knowledge base. The Service is provided as-is and may be updated or changed at any time.

3. Account registration

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. One person or entity may not create multiple free accounts to circumvent usage limits.

4. Subscriptions and billing

  • Paid plans are billed monthly or annually in advance.
  • All prices are in USD unless stated otherwise.
  • Trials automatically convert to paid plans at the end of the trial period unless cancelled.
  • Refunds are available within 7 days of initial purchase. After 7 days, no refunds are issued for the current billing period.
  • We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice.

5. Acceptable use

You may not use Helpzen to:

  • Violate any applicable law or regulation
  • Send spam or unsolicited communications
  • Harass, abuse, or harm any person
  • Distribute malware or malicious code
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other accounts
  • Reverse engineer or copy the Service
  • Use the Service to build a competing product

6. Your content

You retain ownership of all data and content you upload to Helpzen. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store and process your content solely to provide the Service. We do not claim ownership of your data and will not use it for any other purpose.

7. Open source

The Helpzen core is available as open source software under the MIT License. Self-hosted deployments are subject to that license. These Terms of Service apply only to the hosted service at helpzen.io and app.helpzen.io.

8. Uptime and service availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee 100% uptime. We are not liable for losses caused by downtime, data loss, or service interruptions. For critical support operations, we recommend maintaining backups.

9. Termination

You may cancel your account at any time from Settings → Billing. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Helpzen is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months prior to the claim.

11. Changes to terms

We may update these terms with 30 days notice. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of France. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Paris, France.
